Can Renters Solve the Housing Crisis?

As we have discussed in the past, the rental market is strong. When more people choose  to rent rather than buy, investors with money are looking to distressed properties to purchase as rental properties. If the banks can get on board and start lending more efficiently we might be able to see a turn in the housing crisis. This article goes into a bit more detail on how renters may be able to solve this crisis.

Additionally, it is apparent that the banks are looking for other ways to help with distressed properties. Bank of America is developing foreclosure rental programs to deal with distressed properties. I guess that is one way to deal with the crisis.
