Vacancy Rates Are Down

That’s the news on the streets today. Puget Sound Business Journal reports that the vacancy rate among apartment rentals in the area is down to 4.7% this month. In September 2011 the rate was at 5.3%. This information was calculated from research firm, Dupre + Scott. The results also reported that property managers are planning to increase rent amounts by 2.6% in the next six months. This is the biggest increase planned since 2008. Good news for landlords and investors, which continues to show the strong rental market in the Puget Sound area. For more on the survey and the results, check out this article.
