Banks are Not Landlords

… and from the sound of it, they don’t really want to be landlords either. This article, from St. Louis  Today, is a story that is happening to a lot of banks all over the country, not just in St. Louis. In a lot of situations, banks will seek the professional help of a property management company (like Phillips) in order to make sure the tenants are a screened correctly and all the appropriate laws and regulations are being followed. In this day and age is certainly makes sense that a bank should seek the guidance of professionals in the industry, instead of adding Property Management to another list of tasks that employees are now responsible for, bankers are probably not set up to deal with leaking plumbing or other maintenance issues that might arise.
