Imagine if you can, never having to pay another heating bill or adjusting the temperature in your home – anytime of the year! Could it be possible? The folks at The Passive House Institute say it is possible.  A few developers in the Seattle area are building Passive Houses, homes that use 90 percent less energy than typical existing homes and 75 percent less energy than most new homes. They do this mainly by with extremely efficient insulation and windows, tight sealing, and elimination of separate heating and air conditioning systems. Read more on this housing trend here.

This could be a topic of discussion, along with other pressing issues regarding the real estate and housing market that Seattle-based Zillow will be chatting with the President about tomorrow morning. Through the power of social media, President Barack Obama will be answering questions from home owners and renters on how the current housing market will be effecting their future. This will take place after the President’s speech on housing in Phoenix, AZ.
