State of the Seattle Rental Market

BUILDING_BRICKAnyone living in Seattle sees the growth of the apartment and condo buildings that are being constructed, on what seems like every street corner. But what do these new buildings mean for other smaller, historic buildings that have been in the city for the last few decades? This article from the Seattle Times outlines some of the issues that renters and building owners are facing with all the new construction. This article also has a lot of great information on the rental market, how it has changed over the past few years and the average rent for a number of popular neighborhoods in the area. As a renter or a landlord, this is a great article to take a look at to understand the market a little better.
