Decoding Rental Ads

home-for-rentAs many people search Craigslist and rental ads looking for new homes and apartments to rent, the language of the ads can sometimes be confusing. Many times the description on the ad, may not accurately depict what the property really looks like or where it is located. This article takes a bit of a sarcastic approach to decoding the ads that appear on these various rental search sites. The best advice when searching for a new rental property is to research the neighborhood you are interested in and contact the landlord or property manager directly, ask pointed questions and visit the property personally to get an actual view of the property. If you are looking for property from out of town, the best suggestion for a real, unbiased opinion of the property would be to get a trusted friend to visit the property on your behalf to get accurate information on the site.

If you are in the market for a new rental property, check out Phillips Real Estate Services Rental Search page, contact a leasing agent to see the property for yourself.
