Hundreds Wait and Apply for Affordable Housing in Seattle

affordable housingEarlier this week, hundreds of people in search of affordable housing in the Seattle area, camp out overnight in line or sleep in their cars 24 hours before they could apply for a chance to live in the new Roberto Masts Plaza, an affordable housing option that will be opening in July near Beacon Hill.

With all the discussions and news about homeless tent encampments and RV Safe Lots for homeless people, it is nice to see affordable housing becoming available as well. The owner of the property has additional land as well, that she continues to hold on to, even with developers from California and China looking into it, although it takes time and funding, the owner plans to hold on to it for future affordable housing sites.
