Virtual reality has been popular in the video gaming industry and it is gaining interest with other industries more recently.  Facebook-owned Oculus Rift and the Vive, built by Bellevue’s Valve and Taiwanese phone maker HTC, is the biggest test to date of whether consumers are interested in a device that wraps an immersive screen around their face. This device will allow not only gamers to interact virtually, but also connect business associates to work together from far away and mane even allow doctors to help patients across the globe.

This article from Seattle Times discusses the new technology and how Redfin is testing the technology to allow home buyers to take virtual tours of homes, opening up a whole new level of the home buying experience. Be on the look out in the coming years for more virtual open houses!
